Overhauling Online Casino Group
Betfair’s Chief Technology Officer, Tony McAlister, has only joined the online
casino gambling group fairly recently but he is a visionary and has a lot of
major plans for the company’s line of betting and gambling products. McAlister
has introduced a new term to the industry that has the potential to really
overhaul the way that the online casinos deliver gaming content to gamblers.
McAlister elaborated on the group’s new direction – he calls their new
development strategy “jurisdictional architecture” a term that is all his and
that indicates that the new modular approach to the back and front end gambling
experience will give the company a lot more freedom to move certain online
gaming products into regions without offering the entire Betfair suite of games
and products.
The international online casino gambling industry changes really rapidly every
single day and there are some forms of gambling that are still blocked and
banned in key international markets. McAlister elaborated to Silicon.com, a
techie magazine that Betfair has its sites specifically set on entering the US
market as a provider of online poker gambling content. Right now, internet
casinos are illegal in the market while internet poker rides a fine border of
legality – and that’s enough to have international gambling groups salivating at
the opportunity.
The modular approach to Betfair’s extensive online casino gambling portfolio
will revolutionize the company’s ability to quickly enter new markets. The new
architecture is still in development but McAlister has a team of 400 techies
thanks to the vast resources of the Betfair gambling group. |
