Taking it Too Far
The online casino gambling industry these days seems entirely incapable of
operating in a vacuum. Reports out of the Bodog Entertainment indicate that the
Bodog brand is getting involved in the coffee business, and now, the internet
gambling industry is finding its way onboard of the airlines. The economic
recession has hit industries hard all over the world. The land casinos in the US
have suffered a lot and the airline industry has been affected on a global
scale. Governments all over the world have begun to consider online casino
gambling as a possible saving grace –a way to bring in revenues and flush out
state budgets. And now the airlines are looking at the positive revenue effect
that internet gambling would have if internet gambling were offered.
The airlines have slashed their fares over the past several months in an attempt
to get people back into the skies again. Ryanaire, a European discount operator
has considered luring patrons to the airline with the promise of real online
casino gambling while the patrons fly. There plans are still in the preliminary
stages and there is no indication as of yet which of the traditional online
casino gambling operators will take advantage of the possibly lucrative deal
with Ryanair.
Is this trend positive is the key question? Regulations of the online casinos
are still in place, so all of the governmental imposed safeties are in place,
but the industries seems to be slowly permeating every aspect of life at this
point. Between the land, internet, and mobile industries it’s available
constantly. Then consider that cruise ships and ferries offer casino gambling
and soon the airlines – when will it stop and should it? |
