Gamblers So Very Busy
The latest survey to come out of the US land and internet gambling industry
indicates that there are some pretty interesting and unintuitive trends in the
industry that are leading gamblers to the online casinos. The survey was
conducted on 2000 survey participants who answered a set of questions about
their gambling behavior; the idea being to identify when and why these gamblers
are heading to the land gambling venues and perhaps why some gamblers choose to
gamble at online casino sites. The results indicate that the typical American
gambler is not particularly the typical American in terms of free and personal
time.
The survey was launched by WMS Gaming, a company based out of Illinois. WMS
Gaming manufactures slot machines and other games that are used within the land
gambling industry. This specific survey was intended to provide an in-depth look
at the Active Gambler Profile in the US market. These gamblers are lumped into
three categories of gambling activity and then assessed on their responses to
the questions. Also taken into consideration was the emerging and growing online
casino gambling industry and gamblers surveyed were also asked questions
pertaining to the internet arena.
Basically, the survey indicates that land gamblers feel that they have much less
“personal time” than in years past and that this lack of personal time is
leading the gamblers to not frequent the land casinos as often, and to often
choose online gaming options because of their convenience. Gamblers live a more
frenetic and busy lifestyle than the average American these days and the
internet gambling sites meet the demands of this lifestyle more easily than the
land casinos. |
