Bad Seed Removed
The rumors and complaints have been circulating for weeks and months now about
CardSpike.com on the Cake Poker Network. The Cake Network is respectable poker
network and online casino poker gamblers from all over the world enjoy the poker
games on the Cake Network. Unfortunately though for the Cake Network, the
CardSpike site has created some pretty big issues with players – in fact, the
internet poker community began boycotted the site about a week before the Poker
Affiliate Programs announced the site was no longer a part of the program. PAP
represents some of the top online casinos and poker rooms in the world and
provides the sites with affiliates.
When the online casino gambling industry though begins to have murmurings of a
rogue site, it’s not long before those companies associated with the site are
forced to respond. The main complaint from poker gamblers and affiliates center
on the fact that CardSpike is very slow on paying out winnings and payments to
gamblers and affiliates. So slow in fact that many gamblers and affiliates have
gone to the forums with their complaints. As the new year began, PAP took the
initiative to err on the side of caution and nix the poker gambling site.
CardSpike was expelled from PAP as of December 31, 2008 – but while the site is
no longer of the company’s online affiliate programs, PAP has noted that it is
in talks with CardSpike to ensure that affiliates are paid their earnings prior
to the expulsion. Strangely enough, the site is still available for poker play
through the Cake Poker Network – most in the online casino poker gambling
industry assume that this will change soon though. |
