Rumors of Ownership
The online casino gambling industry has been watching the CardSpike situation
closely over the past several weeks and all of the new developments and
allegations only seem to add to the confusion surrounding this Cake Poker
Network gambling site. CardSpike operates on the Cake Network, but in recent
weeks the player community has outright boycotted the site because of
non-payment of funds owed to gamblers. CardSpike has been treading the fine line
of acceptability with late payouts and the such since this past November and in
recent weeks seems to have run into some serious payout problems – a fact that
isn’t sitting well with the online casino gamblers.
One issue though that has really bothered many gamblers and perhaps even the
other online casinos is the fact that no one really knows who owns and operates
CardSpike. Rumors this week have surfaced that Casino Affiliate Program (CAP)
owns and operates the site – this would be a bit unethical of the company though
and gamblers already began to verbally attack CAP in the forums until the
company issued a very thorough statement that notes that neither CAP nor any of
its affiliates and controlling members of the company have any stake or
relationship with the CardSpike online casino poker gambling site.
The recent allegations have no clear base in fact and were apparently started by
rival online casino Web masters. The entire CardSpike situation has the industry
on edge and the Cake Poker Network has tried to assuage some of the affiliate
concerns by reassuring them that all owned monies will be paid-out. |
