Entering the Fray
The UK online casino gambling industry was rocked just a couple of months ago
with Google’s announcement that it has lifted the companies global ban on
Adwords advertisement for the internet gambling industry. The UK policies toward
internet gambling are more liberal than nearly any other country in the world,
but even so, it came as a surprise to many that Google opened Adwords and then
allowed online casinos to bid on the top spots. The latest news out Google
though is a big benefit for the UK affiliate marketing community – affiliate
marketers are now able to also make bids for the top spots in the Adwords
program.
Google is the giant in the industry – the search engine is the largest in the
world and for the online casino gambling industry, it just doesn’t get much more
useful than Google advertising. Google’s announcement notes specifically that
affiliate marketers can now bid on spots in Google’s UK based pay-per-click
advertising programs. Affiliate marketers though have their work cut out for
them – the prominent online casinos in the UK market are backed by millions in
advertising revenue annually.
With the ability to now bid on online casino gambling terms the affiliate
marketers are now in the research phase – the announcement from Google is very
recent and the marketers will have to search out the most relevant keywords
before the bidding process is begun. Adwords is one of Google’s more lucrative
advertising programs and definitely comes in handy for the online casinos and
information portals that make their money from affiliate money – advertising
revenue will supplement that revenue nicely. |
