Poker Ace Takes the Title
Competition in the land and online casino poker gambling industry is pretty
stiff – internet poker gambling is fast becoming highly respected in the
industry because of the number of competitive poker pros that have started their
humble careers right at the virtual tables. But as much as the online casinos
and poker rooms are used for practice and even for some pretty major
tournaments, the land poker industry is still king. All of the most well
respected poker tourneys and competitions occur within the land poker gambling
industry – so while online poker is up and coming, land tourneys are still used
to prove the best of the best.
This week in land and online casino poker gambling news, Bertrand Grospellier (ElkY)
took home the top title at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. The land
tournament takes place in the Bahamas – what a great excuse to get out of the
cold weather and take a winter vacation to the land of perpetual summer – and
featured a slew of top names in the industry. Professionals who got their names
by playing at the online casinos competed in the tournament, as did the top
names in the land poker industry.
At then end of the day though, only one player can take home the top honors –
Grospellier had some stiff competition even before the final table from some of
the top pros in the online casino gambling industry – Phil Ivy and Daniel
Negreanu just to name two. As for the final table – WSOP bracelet holders and
WPT champions made it to the end – but only Grospellier won the top prize of
$433,500. |
