Malaysia Tough on Online Casino Gambling
There are a few places in the world where you just don’t want to even risk
illegal online casino gambling and Asia as the whole seems to be one of those
regions where it’s just simply not worth the risks and punishments involved. The
Chinese case that has just wrapped up with the sentencing of twenty individuals
found guilty of operating a gambling ring is the perfect example of some very
tough punishments should you be caught. Malaysian police have now released
information that they are on the hunt for the ring-leader of a large-scale
illegal online casino gambling operation in the country.
According to the police chief in Sabah, the gambling chief is hard to find
because he operates the online casino gambling ring remotely and from behind the
scenes – the ring leaders are rarely the ones directly involved in the day to
day operations of these gambling rings and are thus a bit more tricky to locate
and arrest. The police chief notes that they have already devised a plan for the
apprehension of those individuals involved in the top tier of the ring’s
operation. The police chief also noted that the online casino gambling ring has
been mostly shut down through raids on various locations they were tipped-off
about.
There is hope that analysis of the computers that were confiscated during the
raid will yield more helpful information for bringing to justice those
individuals responsible for the online casino gambling ring. Now it’s just a
wait and see to discover if the Malaysian police can find those top-brass
ring-chiefs. |
