A Step Closer for Spain
The Spanish online casino gambling market has been a coveted new region for a
while now – but outdated regulations and legislation in the country have
prevented the major European internet gambling brands from fully entering this
market. The latest news though indicates that in just one short month all of the
top advisors, regulators, and major gambling operators will join together at a
conference event in Spain. The conference, Online Gambling in Spain – A
Regulatory Update, is designed to specifically allow all of these leaders in the
industry to debate the pertinent issue and update Spain’s regulations and
legislation as it relates to internet casinos, gambling, and wagering.
The conference is scheduled to take place on March 9th and the outline for the
conference is designed to allow for open debate on the Spanish regulations from
all of the conference attendees. Also, the Technical Secretary General in Spain,
Maria Ángeles González, noted that all present will be thoroughly briefed and
updated on changes that they can expect to Spain’s online casino gambling and
betting regulations in the coming months.
The online casino gambling industry is openly welcoming this conference event
because it will allow them to actually understand what is about to happen to
Spain’s internet gambling industry – and through understanding the existing
gambling companies can prepare for the changes and re-strategies to best
optimize their businesses for the new regulatory changes. Media coverage of the
pending conference has been largely supportive and indicates that Spain’s
initiative shows a lot of forethought and consideration – two qualities often
ignored when country governments are interacting with the online gambling
industry. |
