Online Casino Suspension
The United Kingdom’s Gambling Commission is proving its vigilance this month
with the announcement that the Commission has suspended the gambling license for
Paradise Bet. The online casinos operating in and out of the UK must conform to
the very strict licensing regulations and specifics that the UK deems integral
to protecting the UK gambling public from exploitation and dangers. To maintain
the standards, the Commission consistently monitors gambling companies that are
licensed out of its jurisdiction for their compliance – and Paradise Bet has
apparently failed on some aspects of this investigation. According to the
Commission, the company is being investigated by in accordance with section 116
of the 2005 Gambling Act that took full effect in September of 2008.
The UK has the most liberal online casino gambling regulations in the world; and
though these UK policies give the internet gambling sites more freedoms and
access to marketing efforts than is traditionally allowed, it also outlines
precise behavior guidelines and expectations. There is no word yet on why
Paradise Bet’s license has been suspended but that means that both the Paradise
Bet and Bet 1128 companies are no longer able to operate in the UK until they
are investigated and then only if the UK Gambling Commission reinstates the
online casino gambling licenses to these companies.
The only known information that could shed a bit of light on perhaps why the
online casino gambling company’s license has been suspended is the three-year
ongoing investigation that is looking closely at alleged links between the
Paradise Bet gambling group and the Parisi mafia clan. That tenuous link is
enough to warrant a much closer look into the company’s practices. |
