Details on Israeli Gambling Ring
News broke just this month that the Israeli police uncovered a huge online
casino gambling ring that was operating in the country under the radar of the
Israeli officials. The illegal gambling ring was busted earlier in the month and
initially the ring claimed an affiliation with Belize and claimed licensing out
of Belize. The Belize government and the licensing officials have denied any
affiliation with the Israeli gambling ring. The latest news released in the case
indicates that the servers for the illegal gambling ring were actually running
out of Estonia while the bank accounts linked to the leaders of the online
casino gambling ring were located in Israel.
The gambling ring operated through the gambling site Internet1x2.com and ran
sportsbetting and online casino games. Israel has very strict regulations in
place that ban online casinos from offering services to Israeli. In more recent
months there has been a lot of concern about some of the more precise nuances of
Israeli legislation. Some online casinos and gambling sites are operating
legally out of Israel because they target services outside of Israel. The
gambling ring on the other hand used shady tactics to hide its gambling servers
and to claim false affiliations with legitimate and scrupulous gambling groups.
As the Israeli police further investigate the situation they anticipate
uncovering more of the underground ties that allowed this large online casino
gambling site to operate in the market undiscovered to so long. So far the two
Israeli men implicated in the ring, brothers Idan and Shai Raviv, are under
arrest and facing more charges as the investigation continues. |
