Pokerducks Online Casino Story
This year has been a bit rough on some of the online casino and poker gambling
companies in the industry – although the internet gambling industry seems to
have mostly recovered from any lasting recession driven effects, there are other
factors in play that regard an internet gambling site’s success. For Pokerducks,
the gambling site was gaining a lot of popularity amongst all of the online
casinos and poker sites offered in the international market, but this week, the
site has announced its doors are firmly closed. That’s it. The site shut down
with very little warning given to the industry or its gamblers.
And while there was no real way to see this online casino closure ahead of time,
there have been a few smaller indications for a while now that this gambling
group was not everything it was claiming to be. One of the first major issues to
surface with Pokerducks was the fact that the internet gambling site claimed to
hold a license to operate from the reputable licensing jurisdiction of Malta.
This is not actually the case, Pokerducks is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming
Commission in Canada and therefore winnings at the online casino and poker site
is not tax-deductible as the site was claiming.
In addition to this issue, though, the gambling site has operated on the Boss
Media network over the past year and recently suffered from heavy fines levied
on the online casino and poker site because Pokerducks had too many registered
and winning players and not enough “new blood” coming into the site. For these
reason Pokerducks abruptly announced its closure and left only an email address
for player support on the site. |
