Clearly Communicating with Affiliates
The eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance organization (eCOGRA)
has fully announced the details of the investigation into Grand Prive and its
past affiliate gaming interactions. Grand Prive generated a lot of negative
media attention for itself and a frenzied storm of activity and negative
comments last year when the online casino gambling group abruptly closed down
its affiliate operations. The situation was not handled very well and there
hasn’t been a lot of progress in the intervening year…until recently that is.
Grand Prive formally announced that it has agreed to work with eCOGRA for the
investigation into just what happened with the closure of the affiliate program.
eCOGRA is a incredibly well respected standards organization in the global
market (the UK and EU most specifically though) that works to uphold a set of
minimum standards and practices to which all of the major online casinos and
gambling groups adhere. eCOGRA accredits sites that are operating to the
organization’s standards and also works to moderate situations such as the Grand
Prive debacle that shook the foundation of the global affiliate online casino
gambling industry.
According to the new information released about the situation, eCOGRA will work
with all of the affected affiliates to open a line of communication with Grand
Prive. Affiliates will have the opportunity to ask all of their hard-hitting
questions. And perhaps most importantly for the online casino gambling
affiliates, they will get paid what they’re owed as these negotiations conclude
– that is one of the more pressing parts of the entire situation and eCOGRA has
assured affected affiliates that Grand Prive is prepared to pay out all of the
disputed funds. |
