Online Casino Money Could Help
The online casino gambling industry is now beginning to heavily pressure the US
government to look closely at the UIGEA and at the US’s stance of internet
gambling. Many analysts assume that it is only a matter of time before the US
repeals the UIGEA and legalize and licenses internet gambling in the country.
But the online casinos are not a primary concern for the Obama administration.
Health care, foreign policy, and the economy are tops on the list and the
internet gambling bills are being pushed further and further to the back of the
agenda.
Now though, the online casinos want their voices heard – the time is right now
to begin discussions on a legal US internet gambling industry. If the US were to
legalize internet gambling in the country there is a lot of tax revenue that
will come into the federal budget – a lot. There is a pretty logical solution to
the budget deficits that are plaguing the health care reform discussions…find a
way to integrate the tax revenue from online casino gambling. Taxing the
internet gambling industry is inevitable and, once implemented and taxed, the
government is looking at as much as $3 billion in annual revenues.
That is not an overestimation either. The international online casino gambling
industry has valued the US market at $3billion annual for sure. The internet
gambling market was going pretty strong until the UGIEA came into effect, and,
with proper regulations and taxing the US industry would be much more extensive
and the government would have unprecedented control over the sights. |
