Gamblers Appreciate

Microgaming made some changes last month that gamblers in the UK and Europe have really appreciated now that their settling into the new format and the new currency. The US does not dominate the online casino gambling industry any longer since the US government forced the gambling sites out of the market nearly three years ago with the UIGEA. It has taken years for the online casinos to adapt to the new changes and alter the structure of the industry but Microgaming is one of the first to completely look at the current moment and embrace the internet gambling industry as it is, not as the gambling sites would like it to be. With that in mind, the US market is not open and operating poker tournaments in this currency is no longer appropriate.

Now, the currency of choice across all of the Microgaming Poker Network is the Euro. The US dollar has been permanently changed out of the online casino poker site and all of the tournament figures and prizes are logged and gambled on the Euro. Microgaming is also one of the first internet gambling groups to firmly close the door on the US market. Although many online casinos left the US market voluntarily several of the major software providers still allowed their licensed sites to process US gambling transactions.

Microgaming is does not have any involvement with the US online casino gambling industry at this point, a fact that adds security to the European and UK gamblers who do use Microgaming powered sites. The US government is still coming down hard on violators and European gamblers appreciate the safety of using sites that do not even monkey around with the US market and the inherent dangers therein.
