He's All Over the Place
Calvin Ayres, the founder of Bodog and once again an active voice on the
developments occurring with the Bodog brand, has resurfaced in Antiuga this
week. The Bodog online casino gambling group is rapidly growing into wide and
varied markets and Ayres is right at the helm of these changes apparently
despite claims last year that he was stepping down from the day-to-day of the
Bodog operation. Ayres has been operating out of Thailand for some time now, but
as new announcements were made about Bodog’s new partnership agreement with
Haydock Sports to provide Bodog online casino gaming products, Ayres could not
be found. He has now, once again, moved his residence and lives at his home in
Antigua.
He seems to have taken some of the efforts off of his charity efforts and is,
instead, leading the company into whole new markets and new branding
opportunities. Ayres had a lot to say about the new developments happening at
the online casino gambling group – he hasn’t elaborated much but intimated that
Bodog has some very interesting developments happening in the European gaming
market. Additionally, Bodog is looking for strategic partnerships and licensing
deals within the Canadian market as a way to expand the Bodog brand and target a
largely untapped online gambling market.
Ayres is a pretty busy man these days and has his fingers in a whole lot of pots
– right now though he seems pretty focused on leading the online casino gambling
group into wider and more diverse markets and bringing the unique Bodog brand to
a whole new level in terms of branding and market saturation. Without the key US
market gambling as heavily as before (Bodog still operates in the US market
despite the ban but has lost a large portion of its gamblers) the company is
looking to possibilities in Europe and Asia. |
