Bodog Bringing News
Bodog Entertainment has its fingers in a lo of pots these days thanks to the
news that the founder of the company and former CEO is back at the helm –
perhaps not in title, but founder Calvin Ayres is speaking out about his growth
and development plans for the Bodog brand over the next several months and
years. The latest news out of Bodog indicates that the online casino poker
gambling brand is moving into Asia with a strategic licensing deal with Haydock
Sports to offer internet gaming to the Asian market. Other new plans are rumored
to be a brand licensing deal in Europe, as well as a re-branding of the company
and products, and to cap it all off, Bodog plans to make some aggressive moves
to enter the European internet gambling industry.
Not to be left out of all of these new plans though, is a new online gambling
news portal that will carry the Bodog brand and name. The new Web site is
starting small and will offer up industry news and professional analysis on just
what’s going on in the industry and where the experts think the online casinos
are heading. As a cute addition that sets the brand apart – the Bodog’s mascot
and premiere branding tool, Bo Da Dogg, will act as the site’s analyst, posting
highly relevant news articles that pertain to the industry as a whole and the
Bodog online casino poker gambling site specifically.
The launch of this online casino news sites indicates that Bodog is implementing
a pretty rapid growth and diversification strategy. The company previously
operated primarily within the US market – but with the UIGEA in place the
company is making less profit than before and loss a significant chunk of the
market. Now, though, Bodog is diversifying and entering new online gambling
markets all over the world. |
