Loser Takes Home Winnings
There are only a few times when it truly pays to be the loser, particularly in
the online casino gambling industry. In this case, there is a game built just
for the losing poker gamblers – they can walk home with the huge jackpot
winnings if their losing hand triggers a bad beat jackpot win. The Bad Beat
jackpot concept has caught on pretty big at the online casinos – gamblers have
embraced the fact that they are able to gamble at the poker tables as normal,
take home winnings if they win the poker hand, but then have the added
reassurance that they will trigger the huge jackpot if they manage to lose their
poker game with what is traditionally considered a winning hand. A new “loser”
was announced this week at Absolute Poker.
Now operating on the Cereus Network, the online casino gamblers are able to
wager poker hands and play as they normally would at any poker table – except
for these hands all feed into the accruing Bad Beat jackpot. A Florida gambler
is the lucky winner of the recent Bad Beat payout – although offshore online
casinos are banned in the US many gamblers are still able to access their
accounts at the handful of sites that still accept US gamblers (and more
importantly, are still able to payout winnings to the US players). For this
biggest loser, it was a pretty impressive payday. The entirety of the Bad Beat
jackpot is not paid out to just the “losing” player, but is instead split
between all of the gamblers at the poker table.
In this case, Florida player EMILIE14 triggered the $807,543.95 jackpot and took
home a whopping $270,843.03. The next largest portion of the jackpot was paid
out to the player who actually won the hand of poker, with the other players at
the table receiving the rest of the sums. |
