Online Casinos Support Charity
Tying in the Easter holiday, the online casino gambling industry is looking to
raise funds and awareness for the “Help for Heroes” charity. This is certainly
not a first in the industry, a lot of the European and international companies
are quite socially responsible and frequently use the high cash-flow related tot
eh internet gambling industry to generate funds for chosen charities. This year
Party Gaming is using the Easter Sunday holiday as a way to bring celebrities
and online casino gamblers out to the Gibraltar’s International Boat Show. Party
Gaming is sponsoring the tourney that is scheduled to act as a finale to the big
boat show and a host of celebrities are scheduled to come out to the event and
use their celebrity status to raise additional funds.
The show down is actually going to be quite the event – the celebrities are
facing off against some of the Armed Forces and it is very likely that they will
need their padding to survive the big football match. This event is not
particularly tied directly to the online casino gambling industry – so many
times the internet gambling companies host poker tourneys or other events as a
way to raise money. Instead, this fundraiser uses personalities from the
television, radio, and print mediums to raise charity donations from all of the
participants of the IBS.
The chosen charity is a first for the online casino gambling industry. “Help for
Heroes” is a non-profit organization that is run to provide support to wounded
military forces coming back from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This event is
one of many that is going on in the past year for this important organization –
Party Gaming is hoping that tomorrow’s Easter charity football tourney will
contribute to the millions of Euros that has already been raised to-date for the
Help 4 Heroes. |
