Bad Choices Lead to Arrest
An unlucky Californian fraudster may finally be learning that you just can’t get
away with an unending series of fraudulent transactions. In this case, a land
casino in Las Vegas uncovered the fact that the Californian man was wanted for a
series of crimes in California. But the real topper on the story is the
Californian’s decision to fake his own death this past September as a way to
avoid charges on several counts. The 29-year-old man faked his death in a diving
accident of the coast of Laguna Beach and then decided to test his fraud
abilities at the casinos in Vegas this month.
Basically, the MGM Grand Casino announced that Nevada Gaming authorities
arrested the man for his fraud attempts at the gambling venue and at that time
realized that they were dealing with a dead-man walking case. The individual was
supposedly dead by all accounts out of California, but was very obviously still
alive. The police speculate that the series of charges that he faces in
California, including burglary, drug charges, forgery and a slew of other
misdemeanors and felony offences convinced the fraudster that he was better off
dead than getting caught by police.
But for some reason, although he successfully pulled off the fake-death, he
tired his lucky one time too many and was caught out at the land casino for
attempted fraud. This is a time where perhaps the fraudster would have been a
bit wiser to test his luck like the rest of the world either at the online
casinos, or without trying to force luck into his favor one last time at the
land gambling venues.
