Announcing the 2008 WSOP Winner
The land and online casino poker gambling industries have been holding their
breaths for months now concerning the results of the 2008 WSOP Final Table
event. The Final Table has never before occurred months after the main event,
but this year the Main Event ended in July yet the final table was scheduled for
November as a way to draw out the excitement. The Final Table event was gearing
up to be one of the hottest events of the month and the exiting turn of events
that allowed Peter Eastgate to take home the winning title left poker gamblers
from the land and online casinos in a frenzy.
Eastgate is a 22-year-old poker gambler from Denmark who was able to go
head-to-head with the best that the international land and online casino
gambling industry has to offer and he walked out the winner. And not only is it
remarkable that a relatively unknown took home the title, but according to the
WSOP, Eastgate is now the youngest land and online casino poker gambler to win a
WSOP Final Table event as well as the first Danish poker gambler to win a WSOP
bracelet.
The WSOP crowns the cream of the crop of land and online casino poker gamblers
and Eastgate actually came a bit out of left field with his win. He was down in
chips when he faced off against Ivan Demidov, a Russian gambler who took home
second place. But in the end Eastgate was able to pull ahead over the nearly 250
hands it took to win out over Demidov. Eastgate walked home with a cool
$9,119,517. |
