Uncovering the Online Casino Cheating Scandals
There is no shortage of information out on the internet or in news media about
the two cheating scandals that rocked the online caisno gambling industry last
year. The two cheating scandals occurred at sister sites owned by Tokwiro
Enterprises and involved the largest-scale poker cheating scandal in the history
of the internet gambling industry. One of the sticky details about the situation
revolves around the fact that poker gamblers themselves uncovered the cheat even
though it had been going on for several years in the case of the Ultimate Bet
scandal.
Add to that the lack of forthright information in the early months concerning
who was involved in both cheating scandals (the other scandal occurred at the
Absolute Poker site) and many gamblers lost their faith in the online casinos.
Sensing a story on a subject that is a bit touchy for many in the land and
online casino industries, and the US news program 60 Minutes began investigating
the situation and was due to release a feature story on the Ultimate Bet and
Absolute Poker cheating scandals.
Some though are wondering just when the program will air though in light of the
initial postponement. The program was set to air last month on October 27, 2008.
That date though was then pushed back to perhaps November 9, 2008. Either way
though, the online casino and poker gambling sites are anxiously awaiting the
airing of the program and the possible fallout from the information contained in
the program and the portrayal of the industry. |
