What Was he Thinking?
Sorel Mizzi just never seems to learn his lesson – even when the first lesson
was a very public and embarrassing incident where he was called out for his
cheating in front of the larger online casino poker gambling industry. The whole
situation comes down to the fact that multi-accounting at the poker sites is not
only a breach of the rules, but it’s just downright unethical. Mizzi’s very
public lesson happened just a year ago at the Full Tilt poker gambling site.
Mizzi is one of the top online casino poker gambling professionals in the world
and he was caught multi-accounting in a major tournament as well as allowing a
friend to play under his name at the end of the tourney.
The situation was just flat out embarrassing for the online casino poker
gambler, but yet here we are again, one year later, in a very similar situation.
This time Mizzi tried to pull a fast one on Poker Stars – not wise. Poker Stars
is the largest internet poker site in the world and there was little chance that
Mizzi could get away with the illegal multi-accounting for long. This time
around Poker Stars initially banned Mizzi from the site for six months. Once he
then appealed the six month ban the company’s management shortened his
punishment to three months.
The whole situation though has the online casino gambling industry scratching
their heads and wondering just what he was thinking? Mizzi is a very public
figure in the internet poker industry and this latest incident has to be, once
again, quite embarrassing. And while Mizzi is certainly not the only player to
have been caught out in this manner (many others have been accused of
multi-accounting in the last decade), Mizzi is a public figure and should know
better by now. |
