Highly Questionable Venture
Poker gamblers at the T.6.Poker.com site are left scratching their heads this
week with the sudden announcement that the company is moving onto a new poker
platform and will be offline for an unspecified period of time. The online
casino gambling industry is pretty safe on the whole – but that mainly counts
for the internet gambling sites that are registered in any of the top licensing
jurisdictions and operating on a recognizable gaming platform. The smaller and
independent online casinos are where gamblers have to use caution – the T6 site
has all but disappeared from the radar except for the brief note left on the Web
site – and that can be very worrisome for gamblers.
The controversy over the T6 online casino poker gambling site had died down in
recent months after coming to a head earlier in the year. T6 launched less than
a year ago but it didn’t take long for the company to make headlines for
apparently running a multi-level marketing scheme type of business in terms of
advertising for T6 Poker. The controversy ignited specifically in Scandinavia
but made headlines throughout Europe. Besides just concerns over the marketing
tactics, the media has also wasted no time in pointing out that the founder of
T6 has been involved in some shady business in the past decade.
The online casino gambling industry is always full of controversy and rumors,
but the T6 situation is an instance when it really looks questionable for the
gambler with account funds at T6. The site is licensed out of Costa Rica and
there is little indication of when the online poker site plans to relaunch. |
