Playtech's Plans
Playtech is quickly becoming a true force to be reckoned with in the internet
gambling industry. The software development company has a highly acclaimed
platform of games that is now in use at dozens of top online casinos throughout
Europe and around the world. The recent Q3 report from Playtech indicates that
the company has some very firm expansion plans in place and that Playtech has
secured another top licensee, Will Hill. In addition to Will Hill, the third
quarter report indicates that new games and partnerships are due out by the end
of the year. Additionally, Playtech’s Asian P2P gaming platform has already
launched within the global online casino gambling industry and that is just one
of the company’s new gaming products due for release.
The company’s biggest announcement though by far was the licensing agreement
with William Hill. Will Hill is one of the top two bookmakers in the UK and Will
Hill has only in the past year really begun to launch and focus money and
attention on the online casino gambling offerings – everything from poker to
internet gambling and even bingo. The new deal between Will Hill and Playtech
allows Playtech to slowly phase out the company’s existing online casinos and
offerings and replace the gaming platform with the signature Playtech offerings.
The transition phase begins in January 2009 and is due to be completely finished
and switched over to the Playtech platform by January 2010.
Online casinos are highly competitive in the UK and the five-year minimum
licensing agreement with Playtech will surely give the company a leg up on the
competition. |
