Online Casinos Outpace Land Venues
New predictions for the internet gambling industry indicate that online casinos
and all of the different sectors of the internet gambling industry will outpace
the land gambling industry in terms of growth within the next five years. The
land gambling industry has already really been able to feel the shift in
momentum as a result of both the slowing global economy, but also because many
gamblers around the world are turning to the internet online casinos as an
alternative to heading out to the land gambling venues. Marco Felice Baranzelli
authored a new study for the market that predicts that annual growth for the
internet side of the gambling industry will have better averages than the land
gambling industry until 2012.
The online casino gambling industry is still in its boom phase really. The
industry has only been around for about a decade and yet it has caught on around
the world and has really altered the way that gamblers are able to interact with
the games. The game of poker in particular has really changed and evolved now
that the game is a prominent part of the online casino gambling industry.
Baranzelli’s predictions indicate that internet gambling industry will continue
to grow at a rate of roughly 10.3 percent per year until 2012. The land gambling
industry on the other hand will only grow at about 2.2 percent 2012.
Baranzelli’s predictions for the online casinos and internet gambling industry
as a whole are pretty right on target with what some of the other industry
analysts have predicted for the industry over the next five years. All analysts
agree that the internet gambling industry is experiencing a huge surge in growth
for several years before it is expected to level off again. |
