Delayed Again!!
It’s been delayed again…and we’re not talking about the Kentucky case! Some
insiders close to the 60 Minutes news team asserted just a couple of weeks ago
that the much-hyped expose on the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet cheating
scandals was set to air this week. Well, the November 9th date has come and gone
and there is no indication of when the program is actually set to air. The
program has been anxiously awaited by the online casino and poker gambling
industries – and now they’ll have to wait a bit longer.
The two cheating scandals rocked the online poker gambling industry a little
over a year ago when the Absolute Poker scandal broke. The two scandals together
have involved some of the highest frauds in the online casino gambling industry
to-date. Another big issue that will likely stem from the airing of the
already-filmed 60 Minutes expose is a further outcry from those groups that
assert that internet gambling is a strain on society.
Some have speculated that new developments in the Ultimate Bet cheating scandal
(the one that truly rocked the online casino gambling industry because of the
scope of the cheating) as well as the fact that the US now has a
president-elect. Speculation notes that both of these factors could mean that
the segment is undergoing revisions before it will once again be ready for
airing. 60 Minutes has really remained pretty tight-lipped about the program so
the online poker and gambling industry has no real indication of what will be
asserted and nor does the industry have time to prepare counterarguments and
counterclaims. Instead the industry will watch the program when the rest of the
US watches the program. |
