Televised Poker Tourney
Land and online casinos poker professionals will all compete on national
television to become the next NBC National Heads-Up Champion. The event is
gearing up by listing some of the professional players that viewers can
anticipate will show up for the popular land tournament event. The Heads-Up
tourney attracts players from all over the globe to participate and the
televised event has well-known for generating the most viewers and television
interest in a poker tournament since the televised World Series of Poker event.
This year the Heads-Up tourney, which is now in its fourth year, has announced a
new system for culling out the participants in the event – a new automatic
invitation list that the event organizers anticipate will be used as the basis
for participation in the event for the coming years. The list does not include
the online casinos players and others who may win a seat at the event through
online qualifiers.
Instead the automatic invitation list includes past land and online casinos
poker professionals who have one either the Heads-Up Championship or specific
other events. All of the previous Heads-Up winners are invited back to compete
in the event, as are runners up and semifinalists. Add to that the champions and
defending champions for both the Vegas and European World Series of Poker, and
the invitation list already includes some of the biggest names in the land and
online casinos poker gambling industry. Additionally, the “Players of the Year”
at top poker industry magazines are also invited to compete in the event. |
