Good Prospects for Gambling Company
The Party Gaming online casinos gambling site has announced that the company is
performing well in what is normally a slow time for the internet gambling sites.
The first quarter of the year is often relatively slow for internet gambling
companies with the pastime picking up significantly in the summer and fall. But
fortunately for Party Gaming, the company has reported a very positive Q1, with
indications that the company’s online casinos gambling site will continue to
show upward climbs in revenues and profits well into 2008.
In fact, the online casinos gambling site is largely responsible for the
company’s successful Q1, performing better than the company anticipated and
pulling up the company’s other gambling offerings. The Q1 report indicated that
the online casino gambling site increased 21 percent in revenues over the same
period in 2007, to gross revenues of $128.9 million.
The rest of the year looks positive for the Party Gaming online casinos gambling
site as the company has plans to launch its licensed Italian gambling site into
the market. Garber commented on the move into the Italian online gambling
market, "Over the next few months we will open our licensed Italian business,
introduce a number of new branded online slot machines, and launch a completely
new product vertical.”
Garber is naturally optimistic that the slow second quarter will have no visible
impact on the company’s year-end report considering the success of the online
casino’s first quarter. Glossing over any of the concerns from some in the
internet gambling industry are assertions that the casino side of the business
will succeed in keeping positive year-end results. |
