Online Casinos Draw in Players
Internet gambling is slowly beginning to reflect the video gaming era – the
games have cutting edge graphics, complicated plots to some of the slots games,
and the popular games are constantly updated with sequels. The new generation of
18-35 year old males were raised on video games, and as such, a new Canadian
study has found that the younger generation of Canadian adults are actually
turning away from some of the more traditional forms of gambling (like the
national lottery and land gambling machines) and are in fact embracing the new
technology at the online casinos gambling sites.
The new study results were released by the Montreal Gazette and reflect the fact
that that area of Canada is presumably greatly influenced by the nearby
Kahnawake First Nation. The Kahnawake sovereign nation licenses and regulates
many international online casinos gambling sites that operate not only for many
Canadians, but in other markets as well. In addition to the appeal of online
casinos gambling, remarks at the recent 2008 Canadian Gaming Summit indicate
that the younger generation prefers online sports betting to actually going to
the betting venues.
Interesting too was the fact that the number of older gamblers continuing to
engage in land and online casinos gambling has decreased while the number of
under 35’s is on the rise. For a generation of individuals raised on fast paced
video games and technologically advanced graphics, the older technology and
methods of gambling are falling to the side in favor of a new wave of online
casinos gambling technology. |
