Trouble for Tusk
The Tusk Investment Corporation Limited has announced liquidation but has yet to
release any further details about the liquidation. Tusk is a Microgaming
licensed online casinos and poker gambling Web site that previously enjoyed a
great reputation in the internet gambling industry. The last several weeks
though have been tough for Tusk, in addition to losing player accreditation, the
online casinos and poker gambling company has now also lost its Microgaming
license until more details of the liquidation are announced. Players on the Tusk
gambling site are concerned at this point because the company has not released
any details concerning player account balances and any information on the future
of the site.
Tusk now lost accreditation from the standards group eCOGRA after eCOGRA
performed a regular check on the company policies and practices. eCOGRA
announced that it was pulling its “Safe and Fair” seal from the site because of
irregularities found during the regular check.
At that point, Tusk informed Microgaming that the online casinos gambling
company was seeking liquidation. Microgaming has attempted to follow up with
Tusk, but a statement from the company notes that "Microgaming has unfortunately
heard nothing further from Tusk itself, and has yet to be advised of the details
of the appointment of a liquidator for Tusk. Until a liquidator advises on
Tusk’s financial position and ability to pay players and to pay Tusk’s white
labels and affiliates, Microgaming is unable to assess the situation.”
Microgaming is a top name in the online casinos software development industry
and the company was careful to point out that though Tusk licenses Microgaming
software, Microgaming is a separate company and continues to operate the
successful Microgaming Poker Network. |
