Playboy Raises Money
There is the saying that “you don’t look a gift horse in the mouth” and that is
certainly the case for the Urban Health Institute. In a matter of days the
Playboy Mansion will host a charity event raising money for the non-profit – and
in true Playboy style the poker tournament will feature celebrities and top land
and online casinos poker players. Poker tournaments as a way to raise funds for
needed social causes is a growing trend and interested poker players can find
land and online casino poker tournaments that support a variety of social
causes. The Playboy event is the soonest of these charity events although
Jennifer Harman has announced plans to host another tournament in mid-April to
raise money for the SPCA.
The upcoming Playboy Mansion event starts on May 18, 2008 and will include
celebrity poker players and online casinos poker professionals. This is the
third year that the Playboy Mansion will host this event to raise money and
awareness. The 3rd Celebrity Poker Tournament event has a $500 at the door
charges just to be a part of the festivities. Then for those land and online
casinos players who want to challenge the celebrities in the actual poker event
they will have to pay the $1,500 buy-in.
The event supports the Urban Health Institute, which is a non-profit “founded to
provide direct care, medicine and medical equipment in response to natural and
man-made disasters." In light of the increasing number of natural disasters that
have occurred in the U.S. and internationally in just the last few years, the
organization has a worthwhile intent that is certainly needed. Between
hurricanes, tsunamis and epidemics, the organization provides international aid
where needed. Land and online casinos poker players will participate in what
promises to be a night of fun at the Playboy Mansion.
