Company Loses Software License
Shortly after the Microgaming software development company found out that Tusk
Investment Corporation Limited was in the process of liquidating the company
pulled Tusk’s license. Microgaming has licensed the gaming platform to the
company for operation on Tusks handful of online casino and poker gambling
sites, but after finding out that Tusk was going into liquidation that license
was pulled immediately. Microgaming has no real information on Tusk’s current
status but has announced that it will follow up with concerned online casino
players as soon as more information is released.
Tusk owns a slew of poker and online casinos gambling sites that are popular
with players, so the sudden announcement that none of the sites can operate the
Microgaming software platform was both sudden and very unexpected. A few of the
more popular casinos that are owned by Tusk and therefore facing liquidation
include: Golden Reef Casino, Arctic Poker, Daily Poker, and many others.
A statement from the online casinos software development company noted that
Microgaming "has terminated its software license with Tusk Investment
Corporation - with immediate effect, after having received Tusk's notification
of its plans to put the Company into liquidation. Microgaming is presently
gathering all facts related to this matter and will provide further
announcements as and when information becomes available."
Interestingly, right before Tusk notified Microgaming plans to liquidate the
company and its online casinos gambling site, the player protection and
standards group, eCOGRA pulled its “Safe and Fair” seal from the companies
numerous gaming sites. There is no information given from either Microgaming or
Tusk as to what will happen to player accounts. |
