Half-Year Status for Sportingbet
Not all online casinos gambling companies seem to follow the calendar year;
instead, a company could find a fiscal starting really at any point throughout
the year. For that reason, while most internet gambling companies are currently
reporting their year-end statistics for 2007, Sportingbet has announced it’s
half-year report is in and the results are actually positive. Sportingbet has
stiff competition in the online casinos betting industry, but managed to report
that net gaming revenues are up, as are pre-tax profits for the past six months.
Sportingbet is prominent in the UK online casinos gambling and betting industry
and has steadily worked toward gaining a larger share the UK’s internet betting
and gambling industry. Sports betting levels are up from the same time last
year, and the company expects that the third and fourth quarters will show a
similarly positive upward trend in company profitability.
The CEO at Sportingbet, Andrew McIver, publicly commented on his online casinos
sportsbetting company. He notes, "With six months of the year completed we have
achieved an operating profit of GBP 11.7 million versus GBP 4.0 million last
year. This has not been achieved by especially favourable outcomes to sports
events - the margin percentage is actually slightly lower than last year - but
rather from strong growth in turnover from our core sports offering and careful
cost control."
The strong growth in the online casinos sportsbetting company is largely why the
company predicts continued profits throughout the rest of the year. And though
the sportsbetting industry still has its tough spots, the company is hanging in
there and predicting future growth.
