Galaxy Confident About Chinese Online Casinos
No one in the internet gambling industry can say for sure when or if China will
open up its online casinos gambling and betting industry but some companies
are positive that China is on the verge of licensing and regulating the pastime.
There are countries within Asia that allow forms of internet betting and
gambling but the cash cow for online casinos gambling companies is mainland
China, and this region has yet to allow any form of gambling via the internet.
Galaxy Entertainment Group is an Asian-facing internet gambling group that spoke
in confidently about an opening Chinese market for in the near future.
Galaxy Entertainment was one of the many online casinos companies attending the
Asian Interactive Gaming Expo last month, and more importantly was the only
company to assert the opinion that the mainland Chinese market would open up in
the near future. To that end, Galaxy noted that the company is positioning
itself within the existing Asian market so that Galaxy is poised and ready to
enter the Mainland Chinese market once the government decides to regulate land
and online casinos gambling.
The Deputy Chairman at Galaxy, Francis Lui, noted that Galaxy has already begun
to lay the groundwork for operating online casinos in China now all the
company needs is for the government to make the activity legal. Lui was quite
optimistic and noted, "Most forms of gaming continue to remain outlawed in the
Mainland, including online betting, although the Chinese propensity for gaming
could eventually see a change in position from the government."
Galaxy is working on laying the foundational requirements so that if the
government does open the market to a small number of operators, that Galaxy
already has the in and can quickly and easily assimilate into the new market.
