Changes in Board Members
With the announcement that the former CEO of CryptoLogic, Javaid Aziz, is
stepping down from his position as CEO to spend more time with family,
CryptoLogic announced that the position would be filled from within the company,
specifically with Brian Hadfield. Hadfield has taken on the position of CEO to
the top online casinos software development company in the world – and at the
same time left a vacancy on the company’s Board of Directors. CryptoLogic
announced that it would similarly promote from within the online casinos
software development company and Stephen Freedhoff has agreed to join the Board.
Hadfield was previously in an independent director position on the board when
leaving that position to take over as CEO. FreedHoff will now assume that
position – but at the same time leave another vacancy and chance for
inter-company promotion. The CryptoLogic online casinos gambling company
promoted Freedhoff from his position as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
CryptoLogic is in a unique position within the online casinos industry this year
because the company has announced a shift in focus – now outward into the
industry and with the focus on acquiring new licensees for the CryptoLogic
gaming platform. As a member of the Board of Directors, Freedhoff is now
responsible for “[providing] both insight and oversight as CryptoLogic pursues
its strategy of global growth — while ensuring accountability and value for our
shareholders,” commented Chairman Bob Strikeman. Freedhoff’s 30 plus years in
the accounting and financial planning industry will undoubtedly benefit the
board in the coming months and years. |
