Nevadan Online Casino Gamblers Concerned
A recent UCLV study into online casino gambling habits in the state of Nevada
has what some might find are surprising results. Nevada is well known for its
land gambling activities and the results of the study indicate that an
overwhelming majority of Nevadan gamblers are actually not interested in online
casinos gambling – and for a variety of reasons. Land casinos are still the much
preferred form of gambling in the state – and even the small percent that gamble
online are do not frequent the many types of internet gambling.
The study looked at 1,000 respondents – and the results were overwhelming in
favor of the land gambling industry. More than 96 percent of the respondents
noted that they are not interested in online casinos gambling. That leaves a
little over 3 percent who engage in the activity regularly. Of those that do
gamble online, they primarily use internet gambling as a way to engage in
sportsbetting. The other popular use for internet casinos gambling were the
online poker rooms.
Nevada is considering licensing and regulating the online casinos gambling
industry, so that study was used as a way to investigate if enough players used
internet gambling sites, and if licensing and encouraging the activity would
negatively affect the land gambling industry. And it seems that the majority of
the respondents noted that online casinos betting and gambling does not affect
their land gambling habits. In addition, many respondents noted that the legal
status and questionable nature of industry inhibited gamblers from using the
online casinos frequently.
