2008 Initiatives for Neteller: Merchants
The now infamous online casinos payment processor, Neteller, has announced a
tri-fold approach to 2008 as the main business plan to bring the company back
into the industry as a trusted and respected choice for e-wallet services. The
ongoing problems with the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) in 2007 caused
Neteller to loose a large part of its customer base, and lowered public opinion
about the e-wallet. But as Neteller begins to recover from exiting the U.S.
online casinos industry and the fines levied by the DoJ, the company is looking
at three main approaches to rebuilding a customer base. The first approach is a
new and highly targeted brand image (see ). And the second company initiative
lies in the company’s commitment to providing consumer with new, unique, and
convenient solutions for their e-commerce needs.
A third initiative from Neteller focuses on the merchant portion of the company
– specifically in the form of merchant branding and enhanced merchant value
proposition. Neteller is working to provide dual services – superior payment
processing for the online casinos and internet gaming industry as well as
general e-commerce payment processing. For that reason, the company has designed
and will launch a suite of applications targeted for e-commerce and online
casinos gaming.
Another plus to the new suite is an increased ability for online casinos
companies and other merchants to have more personalized relationships with
users. And in addition to the focus on a new and bold consumer brand, the
company is looking to also revise its brand identity it divisions of the company
that only deal with merchants.
And the great thing about the online casinos payment processor’s plan is that
Neteller has already begun to implement each of the initiatives, and already
select merchants can use the newly designed e-wallet suite.
