Online Casino Builds Network
In the first real move since the cheating scandal was finalized last month,
Absolute Poker has announced that it has acquired Vegas 247 and will soon being
to integrate the site’s online casinos players onto the Absolute Network. The
deal was not largely anticipated by most in the internet gambling and poker
industry, but actually makes good business sense for Absolute considering
Absolute was paying out a portion of revenue to the site even though their
gamblers played at the same poker tables. Additionally, Absolute was primarily
responsible for developing the back-end side of the online casinos poker site
Vegas 247.
Those factors will make the transition to the new network an easy process for
both the companies and the players. All current account balances will simply be
transferred over Absolute in the coming weeks. But not all online casinos poker
players are psyched that the two companies are combining, especially in light of
the three-quarters of a million dollar cheating scandal that occurred just seven
months past. Although the Kahnawake Gaming Commission has cleared Absolute of
wrong-doing and simply fined the company, many players are still skeptical.
But in the end, skeptical or unhappy online casinos poker players wont stop the
acquisition, in fact the deal is finalized already although neither company has
released the purchase price. The good news for concerned players is the fact
that the Absolute Poker Network is still running strong despite the conflict
over the cheating scandal, and the Network boasts more that two million
registered players. Now Vegas 247 players will have all of the benefits of the
Vegas 247 online casinos poker site (absolute will honor all previous offers and
tournaments) but are now a part of a giant poker gambling community. |
