Will Ultimate Bet Make the Cut?
A planned 60 Minutes exposé on the Absolute Poker gambling cheating scandal that
rocked the online casinos gambling industry could include the breaking story of
the UltimateBet.com cheating scandal. Nat Arem has equated the Absolute Poker
scandal to the “Enron” of the online casinos poker gambling industry – and now
that the company’s sister site is involved in an investigation by the Kahnawake
Gaming Commission, the 60 Minutes show will likely include information on
Ultimate Bet’s current investigation. Now with two companies facing cheating
allegations it likely that 60 Minutes will portray online casinos and poker
gambling in an unfavorable light.
So far several prominent players and online casinos gambling industry analysts
have commented that 60 Minutes has approached them for information and
commentary on the Absolute Poker cheating scandal that resulted in the company
paying a $500,000 fine to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Among those that have
already been approached by the 60 Minutes team include: Nat Arem, Steve Kroft,
Michael Josem and Marco Johnson.
There is currently very little public information on the Ultimate Bet cheating
scandal that was uncovered just a couple of months ago. Online casinos poker
gambling writer Tom Somach has written that there is little doubt that 60
Minutes won’t include the Ultimate Bet scandal considering the high intrigue
surrounding the scandal and the noticeable lack of further information as the
company is investigated for what has been termed an “insider issue” at Ultimate
Bet.
There is no firm knowledge of whether or not the online poker cheating scandals
will even make it past the planning stages considering the fact that nothing has
been filmed yet, but considering the current debate surrounding internet casinos
gambling industry in the U.S., it’s pretty likely that it will come to fruition. |
