Networking for the Internet Gambling Industry
The international online casinos gambling industry has a dozen or so annual
conferences that gather industry professionals from all over the globe for
varying reasons. Some conferences are specifically designed to showcase new
technology tailored to the ever-changing demands of the internet gambling
industry, while other conferences are wholly informative in nature. The upcoming
fourth annual European Gambling Briefing (EGB) is designed as an informative
networking opportunity for online casinos company delegates from all over the
world. Delegates attending the event can expect to hobnob with delegates from
some of the largest gambling companies and gambling authorities in the world:
888, PartyGaming, Holland Casino, the European Commission, and even delegates
representing the Swedish and Norwegian governments.
The EGB pulls in delegates representing all of the major online gambling
industries in the world including the much coveted emerging Asian online casinos
gambling industry, South America is also a fairly new market, and South Africa
has yet to fully license and regulate its internet gambling industry but will do
so in the coming months and year. Last year’s figures indicate that the two-day
event (May 13-14, 2008) will take place in Amsterdam this year and should draw
in even more delegates than previous years. The EGB last year welcomed 150
online casinos delegates.
As for the topics covered at the event, those online casinos gambling delegates
attending the EGB can expect in depth information, analysis and debate on the
current issues facing the internet gambling industry. This ranges from the
situation in the European Union concerning state-run internet gambling
monopolies to the United States’ protectionist legislation specifically banning
foreign internet gambling operators. |
