Partouche gambling group owner Patrick Partouche noted that there is every likelihood that Francaise des Jeux will hold onto it’s exclusivity for as long as possible.

As for why France is currently in violation of EU online gambling policies, the previous President supported the nation’s monopoly and stalled in talks and negotiations with the Commission. This administration on the other hand has been a part of extensive talks with the Commission and it has apparently caused the desired outcome – the opening of the French online casinos gambling industry. The rumors are heavily surfacing in the French press so that most in the industry are waiting for an announcement from either the government or the Commission before actually celebrating the news.
