Online Casino Poker Gamblers Get a Chance
The Asian Poker Tour (APT) will kick off less than two months and already the
excitement is building as Tour venues have now been announced. Gambling the
Asian-Pacific region has grown over the past several years and poker gambling
has greatly increased in popularity. The APT is designed to showcase the budding
talent in Asia as well as stimulate interest in the growing Asian land and
online casino gambling community. The event will take place over a two month
period with four tournament venues and poker professionals and online casinos
players from all over the world attending at least one of the APT’s events.
This year’s APT is sponsored by the AsianLogic online casinos gambling group.
AsianLogic’s subsidiary, ESL-Asia will take over coordinating the events,
handling the press and marketing for the event, and maintaining the event’s high
standards. The CEO at AsianLogic, Chris Parker, notes, The Asian Poker Tour

poker players in Asia and we feel that with our expertise and skills, we can
make the APT a bigger and better series of events each year.”
This year’s four event venues are: Manila, Philippines; Macau; South Korea; and
Singapore. The kick-off event is in Manila on May 27th and ESL-Asia will
announce the other specific tournament dates in the coming weeks for the other
venues. Notably, the four tournament events will each feature a US $1 million
guaranteed prize pool for the land and online casinos poker players
participating in this year’s APT.
As for where the event is headed in the coming years, AsianLogic has plans to
greatly expand the scope of the event by as early as next year’s APT. Parker
remarks, “From the four events that will take place this year, the APT plans to
expand to a total of six events in 2009. We are continually working to set up
some of the worlds most exciting and prestigious poker tournaments.” The growth
in the APT will parallel the growth across Asia in the online and land poker
