They're Winning Young
The land poker industry has become increasingly competitive in the last decade
now that the new generation of poker gamblers are able to constantly hone their
skills through the online casinos. Established top poker professionals in the
industry also use the internet poker sites as a way to practice between land
tournaments and bring in some cash winnings throughout the year. The younger
generation of poker players though are able to really use the online casino
poker gambling sites as a way to quickly get the ropes of the game and give the
older and established pros a run for their money – such is the case with the
outcome of the recent Asian Poker Tour (APT) main event.
The final table of the main event of the APT featured some of the hottest names
in the international land and online casino poker gambling industries – plus a
newcomer to the industry at just 20 years old. Yevgeniy Timoshenko is a U.S.
player who was able to not only use his poker gambling skills to make it to the
final table of the APT main event, but he took home the $500,000 first prize
total.
Timoshenko and the others were competing at the APT’s Macau stop on its tour and
among the high profile land and online casino poker gamblers were Johnny Chan,
Doyle Brunson, Todd Brunson and others. Timoshenko was had some definite
competition when it came down to the final table but he managed to play it cool
and dispatch some of his high-profile competitors. In the end he has now made a
sizable name for himself in the industry and would do well to continue honing
his skills and competing in the international industry. |
