Rebranding an Internet Gambling Site: 1
PartyGaming has been put in a very interesting position in the past year because
of the company’s withdrawal from the U.S. online casino gambling market and
subsequent efforts to increase its share within the European internet gambling
markets. PartyGaming announced that the company has already begun to implement a
new marketing strategy that will address the discrepancy in gambling revenues
that the company is lacking without revenue from the U.S. market. The new
marketing efforts will specifically deal with the rebranding the already
prominent Party Poker brand as well as stepping up loyalty programs and rewards
offered to the site’s loyal and high-stakes online casino poker players and
offering white labeling services on the poker gambling platform.
The CEO at PartyGaming, Jim Ryan, coupled the announcement of the new marketing
strategies with the release of the company’s very positive H1 revenue report.
PartyGaming fared very well in the past six months and all of the individual
divisions within the company announced an increase in gambling revenues. This
was right in line with industry expectations even taking into account the fact
that PartyGaming is still involved in negotiations with the U.S. government.
Notably the company’s online casino brand performed outstandingly and saw a
nearly 40 percent increase in gambling revenues over the same period last year.
Party Poker continued to increase H1 revenues as well and brought in half of the
company’s total gaming revenues. This is right on par for industry expectations
of how the company would perform this half-year considering nearly all of the
major online casino and poker gambling brands have seen huge surges in gambling
revenues.
