Fun at the European WSOP
The Las Vegas World Series of Poker event has come and gone by this point but
that doesn’t mean that the fun is over for land and online casino gamblers – in
fact it’s just beginning as the WSOP Europe launched this past week and the
events are already in progress. The WSOP tournaments are some of the most
prestigious tournaments in the world and invite land and online casino poker
professionals from all over the world to travel to either the US or Europe to
compete for one of the coveted WSOP bracelets that go to the winners of the
various events. This year’s European event is already under wan and Event 1
culminated in a win by Jesper Hougaard.
Hougaard is a professional land and online casino poker gambling hailing from
Denmark who is predicted to perform well in the coming weeks as the WSOPE
continues to progress toward the major showdown of the Main Event. Like the Las
Vegas event, the European WSOP attracts not only the wealthy wannabes hoping for
a lucky break and a chance to walk away the winner of one of the WSOP events,
but also those true professional land and online casino poker gamblers out for
some serious competition.
Event 1 went down with all of the usual tension associate with the last minutes
of any poker competition – it’s down to just a couple of the big names in the
industry (and often a couple of relatively unknowns from the online casino
gambling industry) and the last minutes of the event indicate that it is still
anyone’s game. Hougaard took home GBP 144,218 in winnings and defeated Adam
Junglen and Yevgeniy Timoshenko. |
