He's Got the Background
Management at the online casinos seems to be a frequently revolving door – top
executives stay in a position for a handful of years and then move on is often
the case. For those who do not move on to a new gambling company, they are able
to attain a higher position within the current company. This is the case at Gala
Coral, the land and online casino gambling group announced that there would be
some major sifts in upper level management in the next month in preparation for
the departure of the current CEO. Current CEO Neil Goulden is leaving Gala and
in his place will be the current CFO, Dominic Harrison.
Harrison has worked as CFO at the online casino gambling group for several years
and will now continue to advance the company’s efforts in emerging gambling
markets. Gala Coral is considered one of the smaller gambling groups, but at the
same time, the group has interests in both the Italian and Chinese land and
online casino gambling industries. Goulden has spent the past several years
honing international relations and securing a position for Gala within foreign
markets. Harrison will continue to develop strategic partnerships as well as a
larger base of gamblers in both China and Italy.
Additionally, Goulden is not leaving the online casino gambling group as he
moves out of the CEO position. Instead he will take the position of Executive
Deputy Chairman. And in a sad goodbye, Gala announced that the founder of the
company who has acted as Chairman, John Kelly, is leaving sometime in the next
year. The shuffling in upper level management was likely in response to Kelly’s
retirement. |
