GoDaddy Response to Online Casino Action: 2

GoDaddy is actually the champion of the domain name registrars right now – the company is virtually the only of the stateside registrars to put up a bit of a fight rather than rolling over to comply with Judge Wingate’s request that the registrars hand over control of the online casino gambling domain names. One really important point to note that the reason that GoDaddy is fighting the seizure of the online casino gambling domain names so vehemently is because of justice really. GoDaddy feels that the online casino gambling sites got the short end of the stick in this case because they were not able to present their side of the story.

So what will happen tot the online gambling domains? At this point though, GoDaddy “issued a registrar certificate to the state that says the court has jurisdiction over the issue, but it doesn't have control over the domains,” commented Jones on the issue. This is a very temporary solution though for the online casino gambling sites facing seizure though because GoDaddy will turn the sites over in the end if it is mandated by the courts in the upcoming ruling.
