Rebranding of Online Casino Payment Process
Neteller is shedding the image of the past and has announced that the well-known
(in some circles infamous) online casino payment is changing its name and
branding. The announcement really comes as little of a surprise to most in the
internet gambling industry – Neteller had one of the most public run-ins with
the US Department of Justice a little more than a year ago. The company is
rapidly building up new partnerships, connections, and new clients within the
European market and the new name will have Neteller create a distance between
the company and the company’s fateful (and highly expensive) run-in with the US
government over the issue of offshore gambling at the online casinos.
The e-payment processor will officially use the new branding, Neovia Financial,
in just a week (November 17th to be exact). The news has really been alight in
the recent months with Neteller’s frequent new partnerships and new branding
opportunities. Neteller has only just begun to offer some truly unique e-payment
processor solutions for the online casino gambling industry and for UK
merchants. With all of the new projects and services in their infancy stages
this is really the best time for the company to go through a rebranding phase.
After the crisis situation that was facing the company after withdrawing from
the US online casino gambling market, the company really looked to Europe and
Asia as a way to provide a new market and new revenue. Now, in addition to the
new markets, the CEO of Neteller, Ron Martin, elaborated on the company’s new
affiliations and services. He notes, "Gaming will continue to be an important
part of the business, but on the other hand we have built a payment capability
much beyond gaming and many products have an application outside of gaming.” The
rebranding as Neovia Financial is actually a rather strong move and will give
Neteller a stronger standing in the non-online gambling market.
