Where It's Heading
The handheld gaming industry is one of those very recent developments that has a
murky future in the gambling industry. Handheld devices seemingly shore up some
of the divide between the land and online casino gambling industries, but at the
same time, the land gambling venues that to believe that their gamblers value
the devices before more venues will sign contracts with Cantor Gaming.
Cantor is in a sticky position – the company’s technology is truly innovative
and has the ability to change the ways that land gambling venues allow gamblers
to interact with the product. But at the same time, US based land casinos are
experiencing some of the highest losses in decades as a result of the failing US
economy – this means that hawking a new product on the Vegas Strip may be a hard
sell.
Fortunately though for Cantor, the company has a broad range of products and
services in addition to the handheld gambling device. Cantor is a growing name
in the online casino gambling industry. The company operates internet gambling
companies for a number of other partner companies and also offers a range of
products that service all of the varying sectors of the internet gambling
industry: mobile, online, and land gambling.
Last week’s announcement that Cantor had secured a deal with Atronic is a huge
bonus for the company. Atronic holds a license for the Nevada gaming market and
Cantor’s affiliate with Atronic and development of handheld and online casino
gambling content through a deal with Atronic is a positive step forward for the
company. One of Cantor’s major long-term strategies involves integration of
handheld gambling technology into the Nevada casinos – so the deal with Atronic
paves the way. |
